These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the student mobile application and instructor web portal provided for your martial arts school (the “Services”).
The Services are provided by Kekoa.app on behalf of KEKOA.APP (“Kekoa.app,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
If you use the Services on behalf of a School as staff, you represent that you have authority to bind the School to these Terms.
Kekoa.app provides a software platform that allows martial arts schools to deliver curriculum, technique videos, student management, and related training tools. Your School selects which features are enabled and manages student enrollment. The Services are a training supplement and do not replace in-person instruction, supervision, or School policies.
Student accounts may be created by School staff or, where enabled, through self-signup. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Notify your School or support@kekoa.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
School administrators provision staff accounts. Staff must use the Services only for legitimate School business and in accordance with School policies.
You may delete your student app account at any time from the Profile tab in the student app. Deletion removes your app login and app-generated data (including watch history, confidence ratings, notes, and playlists) and cancels a paid app subscription if you have one. It does not unenroll you from your School or delete School-managed roster data such as rank and attendance. Your School or Kekoa.app may still retain information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Your School or Kekoa.app may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, an account is inactive, or the School’s subscription ends.

Technique videos, curriculum materials, logos, and other content provided through the Services (“School Content”) are owned by the School or its licensors. Kekoa.app hosts School Content on the School’s behalf.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view School Content within the Services solely for your own martial arts training with the School.
Notes, playlists, favorites, and similar items you create remain yours. You grant Kekoa.app a license to store and display them as needed to provide the Services.
The Services, including software, design, and Kekoa branding, are owned by Kekoa and its licensors.
The services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, specific training outcomes, rank promotions, or competition results. Physical martial arts training carries inherent risk; practice responsibly and follow your instructor’s guidance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kekoa.app and KEKOA.APP will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid Kekoa.app for the Services in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kekoa.app, KEKOA.APP, and their officers, directors, and agents from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
You may stop using the Services at any time, including by deleting your student app account as described in Section 3.3. We or your School may terminate or suspend access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason permitted by these Terms or applicable law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms at this URL and update the effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
